The old blues men and women laid the foundation for everyone who came after them and continue to do so to this day. So the next time you hear a blues (or even rock) song that you like, do some research and see who originally recorded it... chances are you'll be surprised.
As Stevie Ray Vaughn enters the Rock Hall, let's not forget the old bluesmen who created the blues genre. Many of the songs that SRV recorded were covers from the old bluesmen who came before him.
